The Rumor Mill: Ozzie's Space to Become Starbucks?

So this could be interesting: Rumor has it that the space that was last home to Ozzie's Coffee, on Seventh Avenue and Lincoln Place, might be the neighborhood's next outpost of Starbucks.
A tipster overheard a conversation between staff at the one further down Seventh (near First Street), and said that they were discussing the new location. A call to the realtor, Betancourt & Associates, didn't reveal any information yet, and an employee at the Starbucks further up Seventh said he wasn't allowed to comment.
To those who may write this off because there's another Starbuck's just a few blocks away, well, that's never stopped them, just look at Astor Place!
Stay tuned...

Buy your coffee at Cafe Regular Du Nord, take a piss at the Starbucks bathroom. Best of both worlds.
if that rumor is true, it's a real shame one of the other coffee houses didn't snatch that place first. stumptown or joe or intelligentsia or you know...a place with good coffee. starbucks is terrible, overpriced and i imagine they'll probably rip out all the nice details in that former pharmacy.
1) Mick, you're awesome!
2) Bad coffee ---> Horrible, shitty coffee, great...
3) Cafe Regular, here I come!
Walked by the old Ozzie's tonight and the paper is down in the window. It looks amazing. i'm actually stunned by the transformation. Hoping they open soon--can't wait to check it out from the inside.
