491 Fifth Avenue Coming Down

The old one-story building on Fifth Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets that was home to the first Tacos Nuevo Mexico before it moved next door is being torn down.

The building had sat vacant for the past couple years, and DOB records indicate that construction of a four-story building on the site was approved in 2009.
