Many thanks to a tipster for sending over the above photo, of the awning that just went up at 450 Fifth Avenue, between Ninth and Tenth Streets, in the space that was previously Mamco Electronics.
The small space, which 80 years ago was home to an ancient railcar-style diner, will next be a pizza place called Padrino's. According to the sign, they'll do fried calzones, pizza, and other "specialties." It'll most likely be an everyday slice joint.
I think we're all set on the pizza front.
