24-Hour "Z-7 Classic Diner" Coming to Parkside Space, But Signage Vanishes
Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 11:56AM
Parkside Diner, which has sat vacant on Flatbush Avenue between Park and Sterling Places since being shut down by the DOH in October, has been renovated and will be re-opening as the Z-7 Classic Diner.
The previous owners are long gone (they were booted after being unable to keep up with rent due to the closure), so new ownership has taken charge, and, as first confirmed a couple weeks ago, it'll continue to be a traditional Greek diner. They're already in my good graces by becoming one of the few 24-hour establishments in the neighborhood, and really, who can argue with a Greek diner?
One interesting development, though: the awning above, which was installed last week, wasn't there this morning. Stay tuned...

....obviously because they switched to "24/7 Mission Burritos."
I hope they take down those green ripped awnings on the windows above.
I wonder... maybe they have to change the awning because it extends past the actual store front and covers the residential entry to the buildlng as well?
This brought to mind, WTH is happening with the Grecian Corner space?? That place has been closed up for what? 3 years now almost?
