Flatbush Avenue Bodega Closed for Good

The space that has been home to the Skyway Deli, which has held down the corner of Flatbush and Prospect for years, has officially been put up for rent. The deli itself has been closed for months, and I assumed that the sign in the window saying that it will open soon as an organic market was true, but that had in fact been there since their most recent remodeling a few years ago.

This is one of those narrow corner storefronts that are notoriously hard to design. Let's see if the next tenant (who will most likely be paying much more in rent) will figure out a good use for the deceptively small space. In the meanwhile, the guy who has sold incense and the like from a large table in front of the store was still plying his trade there the last time I checked.
