Shoe Store Still Closed After Last Week's Fire

Good Footing Adventure, the shoe store in the building on Seventh Avenue between Second and Third Streets that was the scene of a big fire last week, is still closed.
The fire, which started on the roof of 196 Seventh Avenue at about 12:45 PM last Wednesday and quickly spread to the apartment below, was put out in sixteen minutes by an estimated 60 firefighters, according to Patch. While there doesn't appear to be much obvious damage to the ground-level store, the shop's owners are apparently still unable to open it back up, and have left notes saying as much on the front windows.

Love this store. Talked to the workers at the kitchen store next door and they said that the shoe store lost all of their inventory to smoke and water damage. Hope they are able to recover.
Same here. I've bought two pairs of shoes there in the last six months and have been happy with both, as well as the in-store experience. Hopefully they're back up and running soon.
