Open for Business: Pinkberry, 161 Seventh Avenue

The Pinkberry that's been in the works on the corner of Seventh Avenue and Garfield Place, in the space last occupied by 161 Wine Bar, will be opening this afternoon. There was a Grand Opening event last night, and there'll be fro-yo for all in time for the weekend.
Pinkberry is a large chain, with over 100 stores in Southern California and New York City, but this is Brooklyn's first. As with all the other locations, vanilla and chocolate fro-yo is joined by a seasonal flavor, along with a variety of toppings of both the fruit and candy variety. Smoothies and parfaits are also available.
Pinkberry Park Slope, 161 Seventh Avenue Brooklyn NY 11215. 718-788-0615.

What the holy hell was up with the long line outside of here yesterday afternoon? There is no reason to stand in that sort of line for Pinkberry except for topless servers.....and it still might not be enough.
When I passed by the line was halfway up the block! Ridiculous. Tried it for the first time the next day and was just ok.
Count me among the people that just do not get frozen yogurt. It's not that good.
What was the deal with the grand opening event? That's a ton of people for a Pinkberry.
I loved Pinkberry when they first came to NYC. I quickly tired of it, though. While the days are hot, and I may be walking by at a time when I need me something cold, I'll most likely meet my froyo needs at Culture.
Culture is infinitely better tasting and better for you. People's Pops are good too for a hot day treat. Pinkberry is processed chemicals.
Culture is a thousand times better and is actually good for you! Can't believe anyone in the hood actually wanted this place.
When I walked by there were closed for a 'private party' and the place was crawling with fourteen year old girls.
When i saw pinkberry was opening i got excited, i hate travelling to the city to enjoy pinkberry, i really love it.
