More Gelato for Seventh Avenue
Monday, July 23, 2012 at 12:09PM
With summer in full swing, it seems like every week there's another vendor popping up to sell some frozen delights. Pinkberry just opened on Seventh, a fro-yo shop is coming to Fifth, and now Food Train, the grocery on the corner of Seventh and 11th Street that recently replaced the similar Village Market, is getting in on the action.
The store's owners have installed an outdoor gelato stand under their awning, and will be catering to the many passersby (and their kids) as we get through the dog days of summer. The more the merrier?

I dont think Caramello has anything to fear.
Depends on how good the gelato is, I guess. Those folks down in the South Slope probably need to cool off as well.
Must constantly put frozen dessert into mouth. Must consume Caramello gelato and People's popsicles and Culture fro yo and Pinkberry fro yo and Yogurt Berry fro yo and Yogo Monster fro yo and Gi Joe fro-yo and Chocolate Room chocolate sorbet and Noella granita every fucking day of my life or else I get very hot in head, make poops in pants, and die so sad. Why am I not eating frozen dessert treat right now!
LOL Billly.
All that frozen stuff in Diddles's mouth and not a trip to Ample Hills? For shame!
Greatest Ample Hills ice cream flavor? Mexican Hot Chocolate. All those who say otherwise are pedophiles.
Tacky Tacky Tacky. I mean really. They use every. square. inch. of. space. and it's starting to look terrible. Do they need a license for that?
Oh and speaking of tacky, the newspaper stand next to Smiling Pizza. He took the newspapers inside and replaced it with an ugly a** ice machine, a chair and some candy machine. Sidewalks are crowded enough with people.
And get off my lawn!
