Something's Growing From 98 Fifth Avenue

Back in June I noticed that 98 Fifth Avenue, between Warren and Baltic, long home to the Park Slope Christian Tabernacle, had been shrouded in netting in anticipation of getting a facelift. Not too much progress has been made since then, although a small amount of the stucco facade has been removed, revealing the bricks underneath.

Well now it appears as if something, I'm not quite sure what, has sprouted from the roof. Whatever it is, it's pointy and has a round arch in the middle of it. It looks like a cinder block extension has been built on the roof as well.

Very interested in seeing what the finished product looks like here.

Guess they're trying to get in some sort ugly churchy addition before landmarks gets to protecting this extension.
