Bar Construction Finally Underway in City Casuals Space

Remember back in March, when permits posted in the front windows of the shuttered boutique City Casuals revealed that the next tenant was going to be called "Seven Bar?" The space has laid dormant since, but last week some action finally got underway in the space.
The storefront, on Seventh between Third and Fourth Streets, been completely gutted, so over the next few months we'll probably be seeing a bar developing, the first to open on the avenue in many years if you don't count restaurants with bars. Permits reveal that a bar/tavern is still slated to move in, and they've hired architect Arnold Montag from Great Neck's AM/PM Design to take on the job.

Will be great to have a bar here. Love all the changes to 7th Avenue this year.
I remember the days when there were tons of bars on 7th Avenue (and, I don't mean bars that are actually part of restaurants, to me, that's a restaurant, not a bar).
Fifth Ave. is light years ahead of 7th as far as a place to spend time, but this is nice development. That area of Park Slope (errr ... Center Slope) is a dead zone. Maybe this will drive out some yogurt, coffee and sandwich wrap shops.
