Amin Indian Kitchen Closed Until Next Week for Renovations

Amin, the small Indian restaurant on Seventh Avenue between St. Johns and Lincoln, is undergoing extensive renovations. A worker in the space told me that they're sprucing up the space, including replacing the floors, and that they'll be back in business within a week.
This continues the saga of this restaurant, which switched spaces last June with Oaxacan restaurant Chiles and Chocolate (which moved into a much larger space and has since closed). The storefront was obscured by scaffolding until recently, and they've struggled for business. Hopefully this renovation helps.

Restaurant with no discernible customers at any point in time closing temporarily for renovations? I won't believe they're reopening until I see it myself.

Unless they are replacing the chefs, the renovation makes no difference to me.
Or the delivery guy who wanted to know how often I had sex.
^^Excuse me??? How does that even come up during food delivery? WTF??

I've always thought nearly every Indian food restaurant in Park Slope looks empty.
Aaapan, the new Indian restaurant on 5th Avenue is better than most Indian you can find in Queens. If you haven't tried it, you should. Most Indian restaurants do sizable delivery service, so even if it looks empty, it doesn't necessarily mean they are doing poorly. Park Slope is a take out/delivery kinda neighborhood.
Aarpan is excellent. Have gotten delivery from there three times.
I used to find Amin fairly unoffensive, but haven't had a thing from there since they moved into a smaller space. We have better options now.
One of the best spots for delivery on their day although every now and then lately it's been well below par.
