Pediatric Dentist/ Orthodontist Coming to 131 Sixth Avenue

I've been keeping tabs on construction at 131 Sixth Avenue, between Sterling and Park Places, for about as long as this site has been in existence, and the end game is finally in sight. The building topped off last summer, and since then, while the exterior hasn't changed much, the exterior certainly has. The ground floor construction is nearing completion, and, as promised since before construction even started, a dentist will be moving in.

A pediatric dentist and orthodontist, to be exact, under the auspices of Drs. Alan Azrak and Daren King, according to temporary signage that's gone up in the front windows.

The website is already up and running, and a look at it reveals that the doctors expected to have moved in quite some time ago. Looks like they've been operating out of temporary offices on Eighth and Union in the meanwhile.

Comments about fro-yo, Dale Talde and great bars welcome.
Frequent use of the words "awesome" and misspelled "definately" also invited.
Speculation on failure before opening day always enthusiastically received.
Finally, personal attacks on ignorant comments by others a required part of all comments here.

That font is ABYSMAL. I give them six months, and if they're open any longer I'm going to picket outside after a nice, hardy kosher lunch.

1) The frozen yogurt/Talde/baiting other user jokes are painfully old and unfunny. Isn't it time to stop pissing on Dan's work with this juvenile "humor"?

2) We stopped going to this dental practice because I found both the dentist and orthodontist to be aggressive in their sales pitches. But they must be doing something right if they are expanding out of their old dumpy office to this place.

That's one more dentist than in the South Slope already. DA-GUSH!

Tip your waitress.

I thought little kids' teeth just fall out. Why do they need dentists when a piece of string tied to a door knob works just fine.

Yuppies and their need to give their spoiled kids medical attention. No wonder the neighborhood is so expensive. Real Brooklynites don't need child dentists.

With so many fro-yo shops going up in the 'hood there is no doubt a spike in cavities. I call it a wise business move.

A pediatric dentist? Is that like a dental Doogie Howser?

Personally, I would not trust a child dentist. But I guess their small hands would make it easier to reach my wisdom teeth for a good twice-a-year cleaning. I bet the little dentist would have to stand on a stool to reach into your mouth. That would be a funny sight. And kids look so cute in the little white lab coats that dentists (should) wear.

I guess I've convinced myself. This kid can clean my teeth.

I did hear that the Pork Slope Chicken Nuggets are cray, cray good. Can anyone confirm that before I order up me some delivery?

A nugget is still just a nugget. I'd get the ribs, son.

Rompal Salon after 21 years at the corner of 6th Avenue and 3rd Street, closed up last summer and the space is also becoming a pediatric dental office.

Friendly and colorful signage. I like it!

I have been pretty happy taking my kids to this dentist http://www.brooklynheightspediatricdentistry.com/
I will find out if this new dentist in park slope is comparable.
