Thai Sky Should Fix Their Awning

Looks like some heavy snow or wind got to the awning at Thai Sky, on Fifth Ave and 6th Street, and knocked it right off its brackets. Come on, now. while it's not the best Thai in the neighborhood, the least any self-respecting restaurant could do is make sure their sign is on straight.

Pet Grooming Salon Coming to 410 Seventh Ave

4 Paws, a professional grooming salon for cats and dogs, will be opening February 1st on Seventh between 13th and 14th. In this area there's a surprising lack of grooming spots as well as dog daycare centers since the forced closure of Dog's Den, so all signs point to this venture being a success. 

Area Kids Moving into Super Savers Space

Area Kids, the kid-centric mini-chain that has staked a major claim in Brooklyn (the closest one being on Fifth between Dean and Bergen), will be moving out of their current space at 103 Seventh Avenue (between Union and President) and heading two doors down, into the long-vacant space that was most recently home to discount pharmacy Super Savers.

The reason for the move? The new location is much larger than their current space. As there's a bunch of renovating to do, the new store probably won't be open for at least a couple months, and as of right now there's no new tenant lined up for their soon-to-be former space.
