On Labor Day I snuck a peek inside Dr. Brendan's Mac Repair shop in advance of its grand opening, and also noticed that the storefront that was home to Slope Sports appeared to be in the process is being dismantled.
Tuesday brought word that the MetLife Home Loans office has opened in the space that was formerly artist Mark Ravitz's art gallery next to the post office on Seventh. I also checked in on the new restaurant Talde, and it looks like they're on schedule for a mid-October opening.
On Thursday Dr. Brendan's Mac Repair shop officially opened, along with the impressive new falafel spot Filfila, on Ninth Street. The hotly anticipated Fleisher's Meats also announced that they'll be opening by the end of the month.
Signage for the Five Guys heading for Park and Flatbush went up on Friday, along with a sign that they'll be opening up this coming Wednesday. A new toy and gift shop called Bubblez popped up on Fifth between Fourth and Fifth Streets as well.
