Gialeti's Cafe is For Sale

Gialeti's Cafe, on the corner of Eighth and Prospect Avenues, is for sale. The owners, Gia Noonan and Lety Sas (see what they did there?), have been selling homemade pastries, sandwiches, and other light fare out of the storefront for the past three and a half years, and have decided to put the space on the market for $3077/month.

The property, which can be delivered essentially turn-key and as-is (including appliances), seats 25 and has 6 1/2 years left on the lease. There's also a beer and wine license, which was issued back in March and inspired a full menu and decor revamp along with extended hours.

It's a shame to see that the cafe didn't end up working out for Gia and Lety, but they're hoping that the next tenant can keep it going in one form or another. For those who are interested, here are more details about the space.

Such a shame because the food is good. It's a nice spot, and they always have customers there.

Excellent Food. Warm friendly vibe. Such a shame.

I never ate in, but got breakfast to go a few times. My experiences were very hit or miss.

I found the service to be slow . A real disappointment since I live within a block of Gialeti's and would like to have a cafe that close that is good for a quick cup of coffee. The coffee here isn't worth waiting for.

I'm looking forward to something new being on this corner and wish Gia and Lety luck in their future endeavors.

I'll be sad to see this place go, it was such a welcome addition to the area when it opened and the food has always been great.
