Signage Up at Just Salad

A couple days ago Just Salad, the DIY salad shop that's been under construction since September in the space last occupied by the ill-fated Parkslope Eatery, was kind enough to send a tweet in my direction saying that they'd "be opening up soon."

Well lo and behold, they appeared to be tellng the truth. Many thanks to a tipster for sending in the above photo yesterday, of signage that had just gone up on the chain's facade on the corner of Seventh Avenue and Fifth Street.

Even though when I checked in a couple weeks ago it was still clear that there was plenty of work that remained to be done, these buildouts (especially when there's a chain involved) can appear to happen in the blink of an eye once they really get rolling. They also promised that an opening date would be coming soon, so something tells me that we might be getting big salads for lunch (with two free toppings is you reuse the bowl!) a little bit sooner than we think.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I sure don't want anyone's filthy old bowl hanging out on the other side of the counter with all of the raw goodies.
My dog licks bowls real nice and clean, to be sure, but not THAT clean.

Here's a scoop: Signage at Park Place Five Guys came down this afternoon. Looks like we've got a new renter.

Park Slope Stationers was forced out for about a year of shitty burgers. Criminal.
